Prof. Dr. Adrian Ulges

Prof. Dr. Adrian Ulges graduated from TU Kaiserslautern. He received a diploma in computer science in 2005. In 2009, he completed his Ph.D in computer science. He has remained an active researcher at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) in Kaiserslautern Germany from 2005 till 2011. His research interests are in machine learning, computer vision, and multimedia analysis. He worked with Google as an intern in 2005, at Mountain View and as a visiting scientist in 2011 in Zurich. Since 2013, he has been a full professor at RheinMain University of Applied Sciences (HSRM), with interests in applied mathematics and machine learning. Adrian’s work has been awarded a Google Research Award in 2010, and his publication record includes over 30 peer-reviewed papers.

Prof. Ulrich Schwanecke

Prof. Ulrich Schwanecke received his Master’s degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz in 1997. From 1997 to 2000 he worked as a research assistant at TU Darmstadt from where he received his Ph.D in 2000. Subsequently, he held a postdoctoral position for one year at the Max-Planck Institute for Computer Science in Saarbrücken. From 2001 to 2003 he worked as a researcher at Daimler AG in Ulm. Since October 2003, he has been a full professor for Computer Science in the Faculty of Design -Computer Science- Media at RheinMain University of Applied Sciences.

Dr. Muhammad Shahzad

Dr. Muhammad Shahzad received B.E. degree in electrical engineering from the National University of Sciences and Technology, Islamabad, Pakistan, M.Sc. degree in autonomous systems (robotics) from the Bonn Rhein Sieg University of Applied Sciences, Sankt Augustin, Germany, and his PhD degree on radar remote sensing & image anaylsis at the department of Signal Processing in Earth Observation (SiPEO), Technische Universität München (TUM), Munich, Germany in 2004, 2011 and 2016 respectively. Since 2016, he has been working as an Assistant Professor at SEECS, NUST. Furthermore, he is also a Co-Principal Investigator of the recently established Deep Learning Laboratory (DLL) under the umbrella of National Center of Artificial Intelligence (NCAI), Islamabad. His research interests include application of deep learning for processing unstructured/structured 3-D point clouds, optical RGBD data, and very high-resolution radar images.

Dr. Muhammad Imran Malik

Dr. Muhammad Imran Malik completed his PhD from University of Technology, Kaiserslautern, Germany in Machine Learning. He has been serving at the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (SEECS), National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST), as Assistant Professor. He is also a Co-Principal Investigator of the recently established Deep Learning Laboratory (DLL) under the umbrella of National Center of Artificial Intelligence (NCAI), Islamabad.

Dr. Sajid Ghuffar

Dr. Sajid Ghuffar is the Director Geospatial Research & Education Lab (GREL), Institute of Space Technology, Pakistan. He is a member of the Department of Space Science.

Mr. Asif Javed

Mr. Asif Javed holds an MS in Environmental Information System from the University of Greenwich, UK. He has served as Senior Assistant Professor, Environmental Sciences Program, Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Bahria University, Islamabad, Pakistan since 2008. In addition to his teaching and research assignments, Mr. Javed is also a member and secretary of Higher Education Commission (HEC) National Curriculum Revision Committee (NCRC) in the subject of Water Management. Mr. Asif Javed has also served as Assistant Director, Water Management in the public sector for more than 3 years prior to joining Bahria University.
